Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Able Seaman to join our maritime team in Lagos. The ideal candidate will assist in the operation, maintenance, and safety of vessels while supporting the crew to ensure smooth and compliant maritime operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in navigation and deck operations as directed by the Officer-in-Charge

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vessel’s deck and equipment

• Handle mooring, anchoring, and cargo operations safely

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of deck machinery and equipment

• Ensure compliance with maritime safety standards and regulations

• Assist in emergency drills and respond to onboard safety incidents

• Support other crew members in daily operational tasks

Requirements

• Valid Seafarer Certification (STCW Basic Safety Training, Proficiency in Survival Craft, and Personal Safety)

• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as an Able Seaman or deckhand

• Knowledge of maritime safety rules, deck operations, and vessel maintenance

• Physically fit and able to work in offshore/onboard environments

• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
