Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Boat Engineer to join our Maritime & Shipping team in Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of boat engines and onboard mechanical systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair boat engines and mechanical systems

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vessels

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maritime standards

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports

• Coordinate with the crew to ensure smooth vessel operations

• Assist with technical upgrades and equipment installations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

• Proven experience as a Boat Engineer or Marine Engineer (2–5 years preferred)

• Strong knowledge of marine engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

• Familiarity with maritime safety and regulatory compliance

• Problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills

• Ability to work under pressure and in offshore/onboard environments
