Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and disciplined Boatswain (Bosun) to supervise deck crew operations and ensure safe, efficient vessel maintenance. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to Able Seamen and deckhands while maintaining compliance with maritime safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily deck operations

• Assign tasks to Able Seamen and deck crew

• Oversee vessel maintenance, painting, cleaning, and repairs

• Ensure proper mooring, anchoring, and cargo handling operations

• Enforce safety procedures and use of PPE onboard

• Maintain deck equipment, ropes, winches, and safety gear

• Assist Chief Mate in implementing work schedules

• Ensure compliance with STCW and maritime safety regulations

Requirements

• Valid STCW certification

• Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in maritime operations

• Previous experience as Able Seaman or senior deck crew

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills

• Knowledge of vessel maintenance and safety standards

• Ability to work offshore on rotational schedule
