Angels and Muse is seeking a passionate and creative Social Media & Community Relations Associate in Lagos to strengthen our digital presence and deepen engagement with our growing creative network.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of storytelling, digital communication, and cultural engagement, helping to shape how our work is experienced by artists, writers, curators, and audiences.

You will play a key role in ensuring that our programs, exhibitions, residencies, and publications are communicated with clarity, consistency, and creativity across all platforms.

🚀 Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Communications

• Manage and actively grow Angels and Muse’s social media platforms, including Instagram, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn

• Plan, create, and schedule engaging content that reflects ongoing programs, exhibitions, residencies, and events

• Write clear, compelling, and culturally relevant captions aligned with the organisation’s voice and tone

• Collaborate with internal and external creatives to produce high-quality visual content (graphics, photography, and video)

• Maintain a consistent publishing calendar to ensure timely and strategic content delivery

• Monitor trends and conversations within the creative and cultural space to keep content fresh and relevant

• Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth) and provide actionable insights through periodic reports

🤝 Community Relations

• Serve as the first point of contact for digital communication, responding to DMs, emails, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Foster meaningful engagement with audiences before, during, and after events, exhibitions, and public programs

• Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, fellows, collaborators, and institutional partners

• Support the development and management of mailing lists, newsletters, and community announcements

• Help cultivate a vibrant, inclusive, and engaged creative community around Angels and Muse

🧩 General Support

• Assist with documentation and storytelling for programs, events, and institutional milestones

• Support communications for open calls, opportunities, and campaigns

• Contribute creative ideas to improve visibility, audience engagement, and brand positioning

• Provide administrative and communications support to the broader team as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to tone and detail

• Proven experience managing social media accounts for an organisation, brand, or cultural initiative

• Solid understanding of content creation, editing, scheduling, and analytics tools

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

• Genuine interest in contemporary art, culture, literature, and creative communities
